In the words of one of my favorite blog authors: “as a 20-something single Christian gal” my life is already a confusing mess. But not to worry! Someday (hopefully soon) it’ll all straighten out. Or maybe it won’t. It’s not an easy road, but then, nothing in life worth getting is ever easy. Whichever way it goes, I’m just going to enjoy the ride.
I am currently living with my parents; an arrangement we all alternately love and hate…I think they get frustrated often by my strangeness…but we believe this is the Lord’s will at this time…and really, it’s not all bad; far from it, actually!!
Five of my six siblings live here at home as well. They drive me crazy; but probably not nearly as often as I drive them! How I love those crazy kids (and I’m one to talk)!
I like to think of my life as an adventure; I have no idea what the immediate future holds, and am trying to be OK with that. ![]()
I majored in Music Education; but God led me in a different direction before I finished that. While I still love music and it plays a major factor in my life, I don’t want my whole life to be consumed with it.
I am excited to be living a normal life this fall….and by normal, I mean relatively, and by that, I mean no longer being a student.
My work is exciting, and always changing!
I teach music theory and voice lessons, and enjoy it quite a bit. It is more frustrating to teach than I would have ever thought, and gives me a new respect for the various teachers of my past and present (’cause we never really stop learning). Still, I wouldn’t want to give up my students any time soon; they are all great girls.
I also periodically work for a local catering company (one of the best in the state!) as kitchen staff and waitress (my favorite of the two; stick me out with the action anytime! I also love cheering peoples day/evening if I can while waiting their table.); raise cattle for marketing; and am an Administrative Assistant at Shopping-Bargains.com (check out the site [to the left]!). I have in the past served as a part-time nanny, house-cleaner, and errand girl.
My theory is I’m getting enough experience to do something in most any line of work!
I’m a country girl. I love the smell of horses, and cattle; and manure. I love thunderstorms, and trekking through the pastures and creeks with my jeans, hat, and boots on.
On the flip side, I love dressing up; including classy-chic clothing, jewelry and makeup. I love nice restaurants and the theatre.
Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskel, and the like are some of my favorite authors.
I’m always interested in a simpler life so that I can make it more complicated.
Music, as mentioned before, is one of the greatest passions of my life. It is my way of expressing myself. Through music, one can see into the soul.
Brilliant humor and quotes are something that I couldn’t live without. Unfortunately, half the time they come to me too late in the conversation to be any use.
I am a Christian. To be totally in love with Christ and to be used by Him is the great desire of my life. I seek to follow His will and direction in every aspect of my life, using it to bring glory to Him.
So perhaps, I may use this blog to express those things that make me who I am.
I’ll see you on the homepage.

Hey. Great blog. Keep up the good work. I’m encouraged by reading your info and thoughts. It is delightful to hear a young woman express her passion for Christ, yet still be a young girl with all her confussion and misgivings. He will always stand with you and guide you. His promise stands from the beginning. You are on the right course as you put Him first, and all else will fall in place.
Love
Glenn
